Zapera takes the next step towards complete coverage of the region around the Baltic Sea together with CBM Indicator

The Nordic market research agency Zapera now launches a new Polish Internet panel in cooperation with Polish CBM Indicator. This is the next step in Zaperas growth strategy to expand their activities with total coverage of the entire region around the Baltic Sea. Today Zapera operates a panel of more than 85,000 individuals covering Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and lately also Estonia.

Client demand for single point of contact for regional market research drives this expansion. “We experience more than ever that our clients request data on all their markets especially the new markets in Eastern Europe,” says Managing Director Lars Lund-Nielsen, Zapera. He continues “38 million people lives in Poland with a purchasing power of one-third of the Nordic level why this market is of great interest for most companies.”

The market research industry in Poland is only 15 years old and the revenue is around € 100 million, which is the size of the Danish market. The current growth in the market is enormous these years – up to 2-3 times as high compared to the Nordic market which last year experienced an average growth of 2-5%.

“This growth is a consequence of the increasing interest in the Polish market that we have seen from both national and international companies,” says Managing Director Jan Garlicki, CBM Indicator. “Further, the internet penetration is booming right now in Poland why it is the right time to establish ourselves online. We want to be able to deliver reliable results to our clients as fast as possible.”

The Polish panel will initially be of 5,000 individuals but it is planned to grow to 25,000 during 2006.

“We look forward to do market research in Poland,” says Research Manager Jens Laugesen, Zapera. “Especially when we have the luxury of working with a well-established Polish research agency as CBM Indicator and leverage on the profound experience.”

One of the first surveys in the panel will be running some quality tests of the panel where we will evaluate the panel performance and adjust to have the panel ready for future research.
